The Chicago Bears were not a good football team during the 2021 NFL season. Their first-round draft selection landed at seven but the New York Giants got to make the pick as a result of the trade that landed the Bears Justin Fields in the 2021 NFL Draft.

That meant that the Bears’ first pick available came in the second round. They had two in that round and did a very good job with them. A lot of people predicted that they would take an offensive lineman and/or a wide receiver with the picks but they didn’t.

Instead, the Bears opted to go with two defensive backs. The best player available mentality was there for Ryan Poles in the early stages of the draft. From there, had seemed to have a pretty good draft.

It will be a couple of years before we see how good it actually was but there is room for optimism right now. It was a nice draft for the spot that he was left in by the previous regime. Because of other trades made by both Poles and Pace, the Bears ended the weekend with 11 selections.

The Chicago Bears will benefit a lot from the 2022 NFL Draft selections.

That is going to help the team get better as they have more players available to them to try and help things move forward. There are a few players on the active roster that can help this team win if they continue to develop as well. These drafted players might be able to help a lot of them.
