5 veteran free agents the Chicago Bears must sign after the draft

The Chicago Bears should sign free agent linebacker Anthony Hitchens
One of the positions the Bears still have a need at, after the draft, is at linebacker. Roquan Smith is the obvious starter for Chicago, with free agent signing Nicholas Morrow also stepping into a starting role.
But, they need another one. And, if Smith and Morrow can both play outside, then former Kansas City Chiefs longtime starter Anthony Hitchens would be a home run signing at this point in the offseason.
To be able to go out and sign a starting middle linebacker on a fairly minimal deal, this late in free agency, would be one heck of a move by Poles and the Bears. Hitchens will be 30 years old in June, but still has a few years left in him.
Over the last several seasons, Hitchens has been able to stay healthy, rarely missing any time. He’s been as consistent as you can get without becoming a Pro Bowl player, but is usually right where he needs to be.
Last year with the Chiefs, Hitchens totaled 80 tackles, including 4.0 for a loss, two passes defensed and an interception.
