These 3 late picks could make immediate impact for the Chicago Bears

Sixth-round pick, running back Trestan Ebner, could make an immediate impact for the Chicago Bears
Even under a new regime, the Bears once again appear to have found a gem of a running back in the sixth round. Last year, it was Virginia Tech’s Khalil Herbert the Bears found there. This year, Chicago drafted Baylor running back Trestan Ebner in the sixth, coming in at pick 203 overall.
Ebner once more fits the mold Eberflus and Poles are looking for, as he’s a pure athlete. For Baylor, he was special teams ace just like Herbert was with the Hokies. Ebner was one of the very best return men in college football last year, plus he’s a natural pass catcher out of the back field.
Chicago will give most of the work to David Montgomery, but Ebner’s arrival will allow Herbert to take on the RB2 role and be worked into the offense as well. Now, Ebner may be the Bears’ new return man and will bring the electricity to that role.
The Bears may even work Ebner in as the 2-minute running back or occasional third-down back as well. Chicago has a luxury of having three capable running backs on the roster, now, being able to do several different things well, respectively.
At Baylor, Ebner averaged nearly 12 yards per reception, therefore he will be used. He brings the speed and elusiveness, just like Velus Jones Jr. He is definitely a weapon — and Bears fans need to treat him as such.
