Pro Comparison for Chicago Bears draft pick Jaquan Brisker: Safety Jamal Adams

If you took some of the best traits from Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams, and made that player more athletic with coverage skills, that’s what you’re getting in Jaquan Brisker. It was clear that, especially with the first three picks, Chicago was targeting athletes.

Adams is used all over the place, and that’s just how Brisker will be used in Chicago. Matt Eberflus told Brisker over the phone that he’ll be a versatile piece for their defense, and that screams Adams’ style of play.

Adams’ size is also reminiscent of the Bears rookie, as he’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 213 pounds. Brisker is 6-foot-1, weighing 206 pounds. Both of them are strong players with rangy athleticism — but Brisker is the better athlete.

One thing Brisker has that Adams doesn’t always show off is some excellent coverage skills. Brisker only gave up one touchdown in college, playing against talent like 2022 prospects Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jalen Nailor and Bo Melton.

Finally, Adams can play as another man in the box and does so many times each game. Brisker can do the exact same thing, and is often found right up on the line supporting the run defense.
