Kellen Diesch – OT

The Chicago Bears could really use some help on the offensive line in 2022.

The Chicago Bears, much to the surprise of a lot of people, did not select a single offensive lineman on day two of the 2022 NFL Draft. They took two defensive players and one wide receiver which were both needs but maybe not as bad as an offensive lineman.

Perhaps, however, Ryan Poles knows what he is doing because there are some really good lineman left to consider. Kellen Diesch out of Arizona State is someone for the Bears to consider when they are on the clock again. Of course, that is pending his availability.

The Bears traded up and risked a lot of their future in 2021 so that they can draft Justin Fields. However, it will be borderline impossible to develop him or keep him healthy if he is running for his life anytime he is playing a defense worth speaking of.

Even the worst in the NFL can create pressure if there is a bad offensive line on the other side. Addressing that need is extremely important. If Fields isn’t able to become something at the NHL level, the Bears will have to start all over again which would be a big problem. Diesch could help with that.
