Nakobe Dean

If Nakobe Dean falls to the Chicago Bears, they should really consider taking him.

The Georgia Bulldogs’ defense was outstanding in 2021. In fact, it was one of the best units in the history of the sport. There were five players taken from that elite group of players and it very easily could have been six if Nakobe Dean was taken at some point. He is someone for everyone to consider early on day two.

The Chicago Bears don’t necessarily need a linebacker right now but Nakobe Dean might be worth taking if he falls to the Chicago Bears at pick 39. He is the best player to slip away from day one of the draft and teams might be wishing they didn’t let that happen one day.

Honestly, Dean might be able to help the Bears’ defense get better right away. It isn’t the same group that led the NFL in takeaways by a wide margin in 2018. There are holes all over the field there and they need to be addressed soon.

As mentioned before, there are more glaring needs but this might be someone worth taking if he is there simply because he is the best out there right now. He also brings a wealth of big-game experience from his time at Georgia that might be able to help the other young defensive players around him.
