Top 2022 NFL Draft options for the Chicago Bears in Round 2

4. OT Bernhard Raimann

Now, we come to one of the big guys. Central Michigan’s Bernhard Raimann is yet another excellent tackle in this deep tackle class. He has gotten some first-round buzz, but as we all know, there can only be 32 selected in that round. Raimann very well may end up as a second-round pick, and he would be an incredible value for the Bears if they were able to get their hands on him.

Raimann is an impressive prospect that comes with an interesting story. He is a former tight end who made the transition to tackle just a couple of years ago, and the fact that he’s gotten Round 1 grades so soon after transitioning is impressive.

Because of his background as a tight end, Raimann has impressive athleticism for a guy his size at 6-foot-6. He can move well laterally and also get to the second level quickly if need be.

Raimann has only begun to climb towards his ceiling as a tackle, which should give you an idea about just how good he could be. He has the hand technique, the anchor and flexibility needed. He’s a Day 1 starter and comes with a load of potential.
