The Chicago Bears get back on the clock in the second-round with picks 50 and 54 to address some skill position needs.

The Chicago Bears need a starting guard on the offensive line but wide receiver and cornerback are also glaring needs. The two players the Bears select in this mock draft have the chance to be special and have opposing coaches worried come Sunday.

818. . Cornerback. Huskies . Kyler Gordon. 50. player

Any general manager would leap out of his seat to see Gordon still available at 50. He was there in this mock simulation and nabbing the 5’11” corner out of Washington is great value.

Gordon has a 31″ reach and 39″ vertical leap so he fits the long-armed corner head coach Matt Eberflus’ defense craves. Gordon only started one season with two interceptions for the Huskies. Those two picks came in probably his best game of the season against Cal where he registered 10 tackles.

He did have seven pass breaks up so his statistics match up to his measurables.

Gordon was part of Pro Football Focus seventh best cornerback tandem with teammate Trent McDuffie who is expected to be a first-round pick.

He still has to work on his processing and instincts in coverage but he has the chance to team up with Jaylon Johnson to put together a formidable coverage duo.

Tolbert might be available in the early third round. The Bears need to get Fields a weapon, especially with Allen Robinson gone. Tolbert can fill that tall receiver with a large catch radius.

He is the Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s ninth-best receiver in the NFL Draft.

He has good speed as he can go up and catch just about anything.

He was very productive for South Alabama in his three years. He held his own against top-flight competition when he played against Tennessee.
