3 Big Ten players for Chicago Bears to look at in second round
The Chicago Bears really need to draft a wide receiver or two at the NFL Draft.
The Chicago Bears should consider wide receiver to be the biggest need on their entire roster this offseason. Allen Robinson is gone and Darnell Mooney is the only guy to be extremely excited about going forward.
Justin Fields needs more weapons who can help him develop as a quarterback. He has Cole Kmet as a tight end and David Montgomery as a running back but we don’t really know what the long-term plan is with either of those guys. Landing a good wide receiver is very important this year.
To be honest, the Chicago Bears should probably use two of their draft picks on a wide receiver. They could decide to use one of their two second-rounders on one which would make a lot of sense. If that is the case, Jahan Dotson of Penn State University is someone to think about.
He is a wide receiver that is going to be taken somewhere in this second-round area and the Bears are a perfect fit for him. Justin Fields’ development is the most important thing to this team so adding an option like that would go a long way.
The Bears might consider one of these guys or they might look completely outside of the conference. Either way, the thing that they need to worry about is improving this team in the long term. Hopefully, that process truly begins over the draft weekend.
