Boye Mafe. 34. player. 852. . EDGE. Golden Gophers

The Chicago Bears need some help on the edge and there are plenty of options.

Robert Quinn set the Chicago Bears record for the most sacks in a single season in 2021. It was a remarkable year for him after his disaster of a year that was the 2020 season. We can only hope that (if they don’t trade him) he repeats some of that again.

There are a few things that have happened that might make that harder. Khalil Mack has been traded away and Akiem Hicks is not coming back. Those big boys used to all make life hard on opposing quarterbacks but 2/3 of the trio is gone.

The Bears could certainly use some help on the EDGE. It would be nice if they were able to draft Boye Mafe in the second round out of the University of Minnesota. He would have to fall to them in order for it to happen but you never know. He is certainly a Big Ten player worth looking at.

If Mafe is sitting there at pick number 39, the Chicago Bears need to jump on it. They have a quarterback and we all know that a good pass rusher is the second most important position in football. Getting someone like Mafe to fall to them would be so great.
