3 SEC players for Chicago Bears to target in second round
The Chicago Bears are going to consider drafting a few different wide receivers.
The Chicago Bears need some help for Justin Fields. He has guys like Darnell Mooney, Cole Kmet, and David Montgomery but he needs much more than that. The Bears need more wide receivers to try and get the most out of Fields.
If they can get more out of Fields, then they will be able to have a better offense which has been their main problem for the last half-decade or so. With some new people in charge of calling plays, there might be a noticeable difference as soon as 2022. We will see.
For this reason, the Chicago Bears should consider selecting George Pickens with one of their two second-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. He is a reigning College Football National Champion after helping the University of Georgia cap it off in the final game.
After two really good years with Georgia in 2019 and 2020, 2021 was tough for him. In a spring practice, he tore his ACL. He was able to return to the final five games of the season but he would have liked to have the entire year to develop.
He did make some big plays in the big game which helped him show what he can do on the world’s biggest stage. Coming to the NFL should be okay for him after everything he’s been through in college and the Bears would be lucky to have him.
