With their very last pick, the Bears find Fields another weapon, closing out the draft with a pair of wide receivers. With pick no. 186 overall, the Bears select Coastal Carolina wide receiver Jaivon Heiligh.

At six feet, 200 pounds, Heiligh presents fair size as a pro prospect. He is one of the most underrated players in this entire draft class, but the fact that he played against lesser competition and doesn’t have elite speed are two of the main reasons.

Still, Heiligh offers the Bears something very valuable. With a young quarterback like Fields, the Bears want guys who can get open. Heiligh does that with the best of them. His best trait is quickness off the line of scrimmage and his overall footwork. His breaks are clean, cuts are razor sharp and he knows just how to set himself up in the weaker spots in coverage.

The ability for Heiligh to cut on a dime is also big when he’s making moves after the catch. He might not be the fastest guy, but because of his body control and footwork, he is a real threat after the catch.

Getting an experienced player like Heiligh who has been one of the mainstays in this offense for the past two seasons will greatly help the Bears. He might be a sixth rounder, but Heiligh is one of the best possible values at this point and will pay off for Chicago’s offense.
