Round 3 – Pick 71 -Myjai Sanders – Edge

The Chicago Bears might be smart to consider adding more edge rushers.

The Chicago Bears have had a decent amount of success with pass-rushing over the last few seasons. Guys like Akiem Hicks, Khalil Mack, and Robert Quinn have all had their success in a Chicago Bears uniform but the offense was never able to take advantage of such a good defense.

Now, both Hicks and Mack are gone. Robert Quinn is still there but we don’t know what kind of season he will have as he was brilliant in 2021 but brutal in 2020. You can probably expect a really good year from him in 2022 as long as he stays healthy. He might not break the Chicago Bears’ single-season sacks record again but he could still be very productive.

The Bears would be smart to consider adding more help to the edge. Having a very good edge rush is one of the three biggest keys to winning in the National Football League so addressing it is important for every team.

Myjai Sanders is someone to consider for the Bears in that department. He is an edge rusher coming from the University of Cincinnati. He would be a perfect third-round pick for the Bears as he has experience playing in big games as a tremendous underdog.

Anyone coming from that program is intriguing for that reason and Sanders could prove to be a mid-round steal in the draft. If his talents are able to translate to the NFL (his size and offsides tendencies are a few concerns), they could have found themselves a real gem. Whoever lands him could end up being very happy with the pick.
