Round 2 – Pick 39 – Daniel Faalele – 0T

The Chicago Bears could really use more help at the offensive tackle position.

The Chicago Bears, as mentioned before, do not have a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. It was sent away in the trade that landed the Bears the pick needed to select Justin Fields. Therefore, their own second-round pick (pick 39) will be (unless there is a trade) the first-ever pick that Ryan Poles makes as the new GM.

The Chicago Bears have a lot of holes on their team. They need to address a lot of problems but their biggest problem is probably the offensive tackle position. They used a second-round pick on Teven Jenkins last year. He was supposed to be a first-round talent but he fell to the Bears.

His problem was clearly the fact that he was hurt. He hardly played for the Bears in 2021 so we have to wonder how that will affect him going forward. Hopefully, he is able to reach his potential but the Bears need more help. Between him and the rest of the unit, there is a lot to work on for the offensive line so adding more won’t hurt them by any means.

That is why taking Daniel Faalele out of Minnesota is a great idea for Ryan Poles. He is a fresh offensive tackle that might be able to come in and do a good job protecting Justin Fields. Spending their first pick of the draft on a player of this caliber at this position is a great idea.
