These 5 late-round receivers could provide Chicago Bears immense value

Velus Jones Jr. could provide the Chicago Bears with high late-round value
One of the draft’s most intriguing players comes from Tennessee in Velus Jones Jr. This guy lit up the Combine with a blazing 4.31 in his 40-yard dash. The fifth-year senior has played his last two seasons with the Volunteers after three years with the USC Trojans, and comes to the NFL as somewhat of a mystery.
Jones has not been much of a true receiver over his five collegiate years. Instead, he’s been a real threat on special teams as a kick returner. At USC, he had two seasons with over 700 kick return yards. Last year with Tennessee, Jones finished with a ridiculous 27.3 yards per return on kickoffs.
It wasn’t until 2021 that Jones was utilized more so in the passing game, and he had an admirable season, finishing with 62 catches for 807 yards and seven touchdowns. He is extremely raw as a route runner and a receiver overall. But, when the ball is in his hands, he is absolutely electric. That’s what draws teams into possibly drafting him.
Jones has the potential to be one of those weapons that an offense just gets the ball to in any way possible, and watch him do the rest. He’s well-worth spending on in the fifth round or later, purely based on the upside.
