Treylon Burks would be the perfect selection for the Chicago Bears at pick 39

At pick number 39, there is a very realistic chance the Bears end up with a guy like Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks. For silly reasons, Burks is falling down draft boards and out of the first round as of late.

Some experts and analysts are criticizing Burks for his rough route running and his inability to run below a 4.5 in his 40-yard dash. But, if you turn on the tape, none of that sticks out as a possible weakness.

Burks is absolutely dominant. At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, he is a mismatch no matter who is defending him. The catch radius on this kid has zero boundaries. He has some of the biggest hands any wide receiver has ever boasted and wears a size 4XL glove — that’s mind-blowing.

This is a big play guy waiting to happen at any point in time, and several times he’s shown the ability to get behind a defense. So, the speed argument holds no water. Separation is even better with Burks than it is with some of his peers like Drake London.

If the Bears were able to get Burks paired with Darnell Mooney, those two would take Justin Fields’ development to a whole new level.
