Treylon Burks could be a draft steal for the Chicago Bears

One of the biggest names to fall out of several first round mocks lately is maybe the most physically-imposing, athletically-gifted receivers in the draft. Treylon Burks is 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, giving any team that drafts him a legitimate number one body on the outside.

For some reason, he’s been falling as of late. Maybe, just maybe, he makes it to pick number 39. If he does, Burks could be the steal of the draft after being viewed as a sure fire first rounder for much of the last year.

Some will knock Burks for being an average route runner and lacking a lot of separation at times, but with the strength and catch radius he possesses, that may not matter as much. He has good enough speed and is effective after the catch, showing an ability to play from the slot as well.

Another big-bodied receiver was recently knocked due to questionable route running, and that man’s name is D.K. Metcalf. Burks looks like the real deal. His film is incredible. There’s no looking back if he is there at 39, and the Bears would feel ecstatic to have stolen him there.
