The Chicago Bears should target Jameson Williams in the third round
Lastly, the Bears could end up with a steal if Jameson Williams fell to the third round. The Alabama product is easily a top-10 receiver in this draft class if he didn’t tear his ACL last season, and because he’s ahead of schedule in his recovery, Williams is climbing up draft boards.
He is very well a player who could end up going in the second round. But, a lot of rankings have had Williams as a third rounder, so we will go with that for now.
The 6-foot-2 receiver is a polished route runner with deep speed for days. He is the type who can provide an explosive play on any given down, and would be an easy start opposite Darnell Mooney, from day one.
If the Bears’ new offense is even a smidge better at scheming players open, then Williams would flourish. If he gets space, Williams is one of the most dangerous players in football.
Let’s just put it this way: if the Bears can get an Alabama wideout in Round 3, they should absolutely do it. Above any other player on this list, Williams would pay off the most.
