5 players the Chicago Bears should target in Round 3

The Chicago Bears should target linebacker Micah McFadden in the third round
The first player the Bears could go after in the third round gives fans a little throwback feeling. For a franchise that’s seen the likes of so many great inside linebackers, Indiana’s Micah McFadden brings the same type of style.
As a starting middle linebacker and All American each of the last two seasons, McFadden brings a physical, attacking mentality to the defense. He plays the game with a relentless attitude and mantra.
At 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, McFadden lacks a bit of the size and length desired for the position which is why he’s not looked at as a first or second round guy. But, he makes up for that with his sure tackling and playing every down as if it is his last.
McFadden has high-level speed for a middle linebacker and is able to diagnose plays in a hurry. He’s a very intelligent player and is rarely caught out of position. In the run game, he’s a stout run stopper. That ability to diagnose shows up in a big way when watching him against the run.
Overall, McFadden is as good of a third rounder as you will find. He would come in and be a starter immediately, with Roquan Smith and Nicholas Morrow on the outside. The Bears would have a speedy linebacker trio and some excellent tacklers there, with the addition of McFadden.
