5 players Chicago Bears could reach for in Round 2 of 2022 NFL Draft

The Chicago Bears could reach for wide receiver Alec Pierce in Round 2
Of course, the number one position fans will have their eyes on during the draft is wide receiver. Between receiver and offensive line, the Bears have their most pressing needs on offense, and maybe across their entire team.
One of the perfect options for the Bears in Round 3 is Cincinnati wide receiver Alec Pierce. But, he’s also a guy who may not get to pick no. 71. Pierce presents the Bears with exactly the type of guy they want in somewhat of a co-number two option next to Darnell Mooney. He might even have what it takes to be a number one down the line.
Pierce is 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds, presenting the perfect size for an outside guy. However, he’s also capable of playing in the slot. At his size, his speed is nearly unmatched, as he ran a 4.41 at the Combine. You pair that with a 40.5-inch vertical, and you have somewhat of a unicorn, physically speaking.
Pierce is a strong receiver who works to make the catch no matter what. He is great at positioning himself for a quarterback to find him open. He’s also an underrated deep threat. Pierce helped the Bearcats get into the College Football Playoff this past season and was Desmond Ridder’s go-to option in the passing game. He very well might be worth reaching for in the second round.
