5 sneaky trades the Chicago Bears could pull off during 2022 NFL Draft

The Chicago Bears could take advantage of a New York Giants team on its last leg with Daniel Jones
Later on in the draft, we could see a team take a chance on North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell. A team like the New York Giants makes a ton of sense, because they wouldn’t have to spend high draft capital on a guy like Howell. However, sitting for a year or two and being under the coaching and leadership of Brian Daboll could allow Howell to develop at the best of his ability.
Daniel Jones is being given at least one more year, and the Giants are hoping Jones can develop under Daboll just like Josh Allen did in Buffalo. But, the Giants need to start planning for what they’ll do if Jones simply isn’t the guy. That’s where Howell comes in.
Target: North Carolina QB Sam Howell
This scenario sees the Bears trade their third-round pick for a later third rounder coming at no. 81, but they also get a fourth-round pick at no. 112. Moving back 10 selections in the third round, plus snagging a fourth rounder, is huge value at this stage in the draft.
Back to Howell, for a minute. The Giants could feel confident that Howell would become the best version of himself under Daboll, because he’s another stockier, mobile quarterback similar to Josh Allen. Now, Howell is no where near the overall size of Allen. But, being another fairly mobile guy to work with Daboll is something New York can feel good about when it comes to Howell.
