The Chicago Bears should trade up for Chris Olave in the 2022 NFL Draft

Finally, the Bears could opt to bring a former teammate of Fields to Chicago. Ohio State’s pair of wideouts were phenomenal during their career together, in Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave. While Wilson will likely be drafted first, Olave won’t be far behind. A trade with the Buffalo Bills could get it done.

In this deal, the Bears move up to pick 25 to select Olave while also moving back from 71 to 130. Again, the goal here is to not take away picks from this year but to give Poles the same amount of capital to work with.

Olave comes to Chicago knowing Fields well and has already spoken about how he would love to reunite with his former quarterback.

In Olave, the Bears are getting a guy with very smooth routes, who works the field like a magician. He gets himself open, period. That’s the best thing you can say about this kid. He does well when plays break down and works with his quarterback’s eyes to find a spot in coverage where he’s able to make a play.

Olave ran a 4.39 at the combine, so he possesses great speed. He’s been compared to another former Buckeye in Terry McLaurin, and if that’s the type the Bears are getting, then this trade is a no-brainer for Poles.
