The Chicago Bears should trade up for Treylon Burks in the 2022 NFL Draft

In one of the latest mock drafts by highly-respected draft mind Charles Davis, he surprisingly does not have Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks going in the first round. If this comes to fruition, then the Bears should immediately jump at this opportunity as Day 2 begins. A simple trade like this one, with the Jacksonville Jaguars, would be a perfect deal for Chicago.

In this deal, the Bears get to select Burks at no. 33 overall while dealing their pick, just six selections later, to Jacksonville along with a fifth rounder this year and a fifth rounder next year. Chicago also gets a seventh rounder back from the Jaguars, coming at no. 223 this year. The deal allows the Bears to still stay at six picks in this year’s draft.

Now, as for what they’re getting in Burks, the Bears are getting a legitimate number one wide receiver on the outside. He has a massive catch radius thanks to his 6-foot-2 frame and size 4XL hands.

Burks is a monster, weighing 225 pounds and still running a respectable 4.55 in his 40-yard dash. He’s one of those receivers Fields can throw it up to, knowing very well that his guy is going to come down with it. Burks is an absolute monster of a man and, up until recently, was a sure fire first-round pick. This is a steal for the Bears.
