Chicago Bears should pursue these 3 Eddie Jackson trades
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears could trade Eddie Jackson to the Jacksonville Jaguars
This next trade is a little more simple for the Bears, as they are able to net two draft picks for Jackson’s services. In this deal, the Bears partner with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have gone through the ringer of change over the past year or so. After firing Urban Meyer and finding a real head coach in Doug Pederson, the shift towards a better tomorrow finally begins.
In this trade, the Bears don’t move up quite as high as the previous deal. But, they do get a pair of selections from Jacksonville, starting at pick no. 157 that comes in the fifth round. They also get a seventh rounder, which they did not have coming into the draft. That pick is slotted at no. 223 overall.
With that fifth-round pick, the Bears could target some guys like wide receiver Kyle Philips out of UCLA, cornerback Coby Bryant out of Cincinnati, offensive tackle Cordell Volson out of North Dakota State or even another wide receiver and a familiar face, Kevin Austin Jr. out of Notre Dame.
In the seventh round, it’s anybody’s guess who will be available. But, a few big-time values the Bears could target at no. 223 include Tennessee offensive tackle Cade Mays, Wisconsin offensive tackle Logan Bruss, Louisville safety Kendrick Duncan or Nicholls State wide receiver Dai’Jean Dixon.
