4. The Chicago Bears could draft offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann

At the moment, the Bears should truly feel pressure to draft just one offensive lineman and one receiver in the second round, and be allowed to focus elsewhere with the remainder of their picks. If Poles is able to go wide receiver and offensive lineman in the second round, the rest of the offseason suddenly doesn’t look all that bad.

Right now, the Bears have Teven Jenkins, Cody Whitehair and Lucas Patrick locked into starting roles. The other guard position is up in the air, and might require a stopgap signing or a later-round pick. Maybe the Bears do indeed start Larry Borom at the other tackle position, but on the other hand he might not be their best choice.

With their no. 48 pick, the Bears would lock down the other tackle spot by going after Bernhard Raimann out of Central Michigan. The 6-foot-6 tackle has prototypical size and comes into the NFL with all of the mechanics of a pro, plus excellent strength.

One of his best traits, aside from size and strength, is his ability to move quickly against edge rushers. His lateral movement is snappy and allows him to keep up with those faster pass rushers.

Locking in both tackle positions now with Jenkins and Raimann would give Fields some security for years to come.
