3. The Chicago Bears could ensure they draft wide receiver Christian Watson

Let’s say the Bears sign Will Fuller to go with Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle. The perfect addition to this receiving core, then, is undoubtedly Christian Watson out of North Dakota State.

Watson has every making of a true, number one guy on the outside and has become one of the biggest draft risers as of late. A few months ago, he was being mocked around the fourth round. Now, even Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks of NFL Network have mocked him in the first round.

While Watson probably won’t go in the first, he has at least worked his way into a sure fire second-round pick. The Bears have two selections in that second round, and if Poles wanted to really continue turning this offseason around, he’d snag Watson at pick no. 39.

According to many draft boards, such as Pro Football Focus, this would be a reach. However, that might be where the Bears would need to take him if they really wanted him. Should they try and wait until pick 48, he could be gone.

A 6-foot-4, big-bodied wide receiver who runs a 4.36 would certainly make this offense better and allow Fields to have a rising weapon under his wing.
