You want to build around Fields and help use his strengths? Add maybe the best deep threat in football, as that’s where Fields really shines. Fields loves throwing the ball deep, and Will Fuller is the best in the business in that department — and he’s still out there.

In Fuller’s best overall season, two years ago, he ended the year with an average of 16.6 yards per catch on 53 receptions. In every season he’s played, short of last year, Fuller’s long reception was at minimum 53 yards — and over 70 yards in two different seasons.

Adding Fuller to the receiving core, right now, would mean the Bears would only be pressured to draft one wideout — and hopefully within the top three rounds.

The biggest question in regards to Fuller has always been his health, though, and that’s likely why he’s still a free agent. He missed nearly all of last year, and he has never played a full season in six years.

But, if he’s healthy, Fuller could be an electric part of this offense and truly allow Fields to shine. Mooney, Fuller and Pringle, along with a rookie, should be enough for Fields to take a second-year leap.
