3 players for Chicago Blackhawks to trade over the summer
It might be time for the Chicago Blackhawks to move on from Patrick Kane.
Patrick Kane is probably the most talented player to ever play for the Chicago Blackhawks. Not only does he have the regular season statistics to back up that claim, but he also has success in the postseason. He helped the Hawks win the Stanley Cup three times in a span of six years.
Kane is also likely to go down as the greatest American-born player to ever live as well. Unfortunately, his time with the Chicago Blackhawks could be coming to an end. There were whispers of teams being interested in him during the 2022 trade deadline but nothing ever came of it.
Over the summer is where teams could take a look at the former league MVP, scoring champion, Conn Smythe Trophy winner, and multi-time Stanley Cup winner. Teams like the New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche make sense for a one-year trade before his deal is done.
There are a lot of people that won’t want to hear this but it would certainly be a good idea. The haul that the Blackhawks could fetch for Kane would really help their franchise move forward. He is still one of the ten best offensive players in the National Hockey League.
There are also other guys in the mix like Jonathan Toews, Seth Jones, and Kirby Dach that could all land the Hawks something of value but we will just have to wait and see. Kyle Davidson might have to make some tough decisions in order to really rebuild the right way as he has suggested.
