Chicago Bears trade Nick Foles in one of these 3 deals
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears could trade Nick Foles to the Jacksonville Jaguars
While many would likely think the Seattle Seahawks could round out this conversation, we’re going a different route. Foles could end up going back to his former team before the Bears, and that’s the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars’ new head coach is none other than Foles’ former coach when the Philadelphia Eagles won a Super Bowl with the veteran under center. Doug Pederson is now in charge in Jacksonville, and he has a shiny, new franchise quarterback to develop in Trevor Lawrence.
This is a much different situation than when Foles could have easily supplanted Gardner Minshew at any moment. Lawrence is the guy. That’s clear. Now, Foles could come in knowing his role and embracing it, without any doubt that he’s the number two.
Foles and Lawrence share many of the same values, too, and having them together in the locker room would be a huge positive. Foles’ mentorship would not go unnoticed and would be well-worth paying a sixth-round pick for. Lawrence hopefully takes another step in 2022, but just in case of any unforeseen circumstance, they’ll have Foles there to back him up.
