The Chicago Bears could trade back with the Cincinnati Bengals

The Trade

The Bears move back 15 spots and could have already come away with a guard, wide receiver, cornerback or even a surprise pick at no. 39 overall. Now, they’ve picked up a third-round pick in the process and can still use their own third rounder on a dire need.

The Picks

Round 2, Pick 63: T Darian Kinnard, Kentucky

Late in the second round, the Bears go with Kentucky’s Darian Kinnard to round out their offensive line. The 6-foot-5 Kinnard has excellent size, weighing 322 pounds. His entire frame, from top to bottom, is built extremely strong.

Kinnard has mesmerizing length and huge hands, so his overall physical tools are perfect for the NFL tackle position. He’s a mean finisher when he looks to put his man on the ground, but the biggest question is whether or not that effort will be there day-in and day-out. Eberflus is certainly the coach to bring that out.

Round 3, Pick 95: WR Romeo Doubs, Nevada

In such a receiver-deep class, the Bears snag an absolute value in the third round by drafting Nevada’s Romeo Doubs. At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Doubs has the physical profile for a solid NFL receiver. He has better speed than you’d think for his size, but the knock on him is that it’s more linear speed.

He has great hands, able to make grabs in traffic. But, can he expand his route tree? If he can do that, then Doubs has everything you want in a number two option, or potentially a number one down the line.
