The Chicago Blackhawks could land a lot for Alex DeBrincat on the market.

The Chicago Blackhawks would be smart to at least consider trades for Alex DeBrincat. He is a very good scoring winger that can be a top-six player on any Stanley Cup contender. Every team that passed him up in the draft looks foolish now because it was all because of his size.

Now DeBrincat was an All-Star in 2022 and could easily be looked at as one of the best snipers in the National Hockey League. If he were to go to a team like the Calgary Flames, he could really explode for even more goals on a really good team that is destined for the playoffs.

A trade like this could really help both teams. Calgary is adding a top-ten goal scorer for their Cup run and the Hawks would be adding two very nice draft picks and a former first-round draft prospect.

The Blackhawks could use as many firsts as they can get, especially because they don’t currently have one for 2022. They could land a few here at the deadline if all goes well. Getting a first and second from Calgary in 2022 would be worth it.

Connor Zary would come in and be a really intriguing prospect as well. He is a guy with a lot of skill which is evident by his draft status. He currently has 8 goals and 11 assists for 19 points with the Stockton Heat of the AHL at 20 years old. The Rockford Ice Hogs would love to add him until he is ready for the NHL.
