Might Odell Beckham Jr. be a fit with the Chicago Bears?

Odell Beckham Jr. is still available, and like Woods, is coming off a torn ACL. The difference with Beckham is, he suffered the injury in the Super Bowl. Now, Beckham will likely take until October or November to make a full recovery. Already having dealt with a significant knee injury in the past, could Beckham come at a cheaper price?

If he went back to the Rams, he would be a late-season addition, similarly to last season. He’d certainly come at a cheaper price and would be giving the Rams a discount to “run it back” in 2022.

But, if Poles wanted to take his first real risk as Bears general manager, he could offer Beckham a sizable contract. Let’s establish the fact, here, that it would be an enormous risk.

But, Beckham is still only 29 years old. He offers the type of skill set that Eberflus would love to have on this team. The Bears’ current desire is to have quick, fast playmakers on his offense. That’s Beckham, for sure.

Adding Beckham would require the Bears to have patience for when he returns, but if it was on a long-term deal with incentives down the line, it would benefit both sides. Having Beckham as Fields’ top target, eventually, would give the young quarterback someone he could depend on to make the big play when it matters most.
