Predicting 5 key Chicago Bears moves after Khalil Mack trade
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears must draft Skyy Moore at no. 48
With their second pick in the second round, the Bears would go with Western Michigan wide receiver Skyy Moore. As an ideal slot candidate, Moore would come to the Bears as an immediate impact type of player.
At 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, Moore’s skill set is that of an explosive ball handler after the catch. He does a lot of his damage on quicker throws, allowing him to be creative in space and shed tacklers — and he’s very, very good at shedding tacklers.
A young quarterback like Fields should have someone like Moore, who he can quickly get the ball to in certain situations, allowing his receiver to make moves after the catch. Moore would be a perfect fit.
Last year, Moore caught 95 passes for 1,292 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was heavily involved as the main, go-to receiver for Western Michigan. Though he comes from a smaller program, Moore looks the part. He’s ready for a role in the NFL and his Combine proved that.
At this year’s Combine, Moore ran an impressive 4.41 in his 40-yard dash. His footwork, combined with that speed, make him a sure fire Day 2 pick.
