5 Chicago Bulls villains worse than Grayson Allen
By Todd Welter
Reggie Miller earned Michael Jordan’s ire during Miller’s rookie season. The future Hall of Famer thought it would be a good idea to talk trash in a preseason game. Jordan made him pay for that.
Miller and Jordan would tussle again in 1993 and that started the Bulls fans’ anger towards Miller. You do not get into a physical altercation with Air Jordan and expect Chicago to like you.
Reggie also drew Chicago Bulls fans’ annoyance when he hit a shot with .8 seconds left. Miller thought it was a game-winner and he decided to take a bow at center court.
It was a bit premature as Toni Kukoc had just enough time to hit the game-winning shot.
Then there was the famous push-off on Jordan in the 1998 Eastern Conference Finals that will forever anger Bulls fans.
Miller’s trash talk and antics were always grating. At least the Chicago Bulls always got the last laugh.
John Starks was another Knicks player that drove Chicago nuts. He played a little dirty and loved to talk trash, especially at Jordan.
Starks famously dunked over Jordan and Horace Grant in Game 2 of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals.
That dunk made him public enemy number one in Chicago for a long time.
Even when the Chicago Bulls traded for Starks later in his career, fans never wanted him to wear a Bulls uniform.
