Wide receiver Alec Pierce proved why the Chicago Bears should draft him at the 2022 NFL Combine

The biggest winner for some was Cincinnati’s Alec Pierce, who solidified himself as a Day 2 pick at the Combine.

First of all, look at Pierce’s size. He stands 6-foot-3, weighing 211 pounds. Pierce is a big, strong frame which bodes well for the NFL level. However, outside of his size, Pierce’s athleticism stood out in a big way.

Pierce ran a 4.41 in his 40-yard dash, which is plenty fast for his size. He also shocked us with a 40.5-inch vertical jump and a 129-inch broad jump. In drills, he flaunted those strong hands which will help him work the middle of the field over tough, strong defenders at the pro level.

This is someone the Bears could use either outside or in the slot, but Pierce’s workout proved that he would be absolutely lethal in the middle of the field. He’s great at working the underneath and middle routes, punishing defenders after the catch.

He’s also a very good deep threat, which of course is a bonus with a quarterback like Fields.

Any one of these guys would be an exciting pick for the Bears, and they could go in a few different rounds. Maybe Chicago ends up with two of them. If they do, look out. They’re all extremely talented receivers who bolstered their stock in a big way.
