Wide receiver Christian Watson proved why the Chicago Bears should draft him at the 2022 NFL Combine

Bears fans have loved Christian Watson for some time now. He’s been a mid-round prospect for months, and may have catapulted himself into a sure fire Day 2 pick after the 2022 Combine.

Watson comes from North Dakota State where he absolutely dominated the competition. The biggest question surrounding him is whether or not he’s cut out to do the same at the NFL level.

At 6-foot-4 and 208 pounds, Watson blew everyone away when he took the field to run. He cruised to a 4.36 in his 40-yard dash, which was somewhat unexpected. Watson is a big receiver with definite play speed, but nobody thought he was going to run that fast at the Combine.

All he did was keep his draft buzz high during his workout. Watson also posted a strong 38.5-inch vertical jump. His broad jump was an astonishing 136 inches — that’s 11.3 feet.

Watson was known as a locker room leader in college. He’s a high character guy with the physical tools to be an outside receiver, which is exactly what the Bears are looking for opposite Darnell Mooney. This is absolutely someone to keep your eye on.
