The next few days are going to be highly entertaining across the NFL. Before we see any free agent deals become official, the Chicago Bears, among other teams, could be active within an intriguing trade market.

Right now, one of the biggest headlines that directly impacts the Bears and the rest of the NFC North, is where Aaron Rodgers will end up.

However, another big name in the NFC could soon be on the move.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Dallas Cowboys are likely to move on from star wide receiver Amari Cooper, whether it be via trade or a simple release.

If Amari Cooper is available, the Chicago Bears would be smart to go after him.

Cooper is in the middle of a 5-year, $100 million contract and is set to make $22 million this coming season. With three years still remaining on his deal, Cooper could be cut and the Cowboys would only be out $6 million in dead cap.

This offseason, one of the Bears’ biggest needs is at the wide receiver position. Darnell Mooney is the number one, as for now, but would serve much better as the team’s number two option.

Cooper would be the perfect fit, as he does his best work in the middle of the field. He’s a fantastic route runner who can make moves after the catch and gain additional yardage.

Franchise quarterback Justin Fields is at the forefront of the Bears’ goals this offseason, and general manager Ryan Poles certainly wants to get him some weapons, along with protection up front.

Should the trade market for Cooper heat up, Chicago must absolutely do what they can to land him. However, at what cost? There are three particular deals that make sense for both sides, and all are fairly reasonable options for Chicago and Dallas.
