3 insane Patrick Kane trade packages with Colorado Avalanche

The Chicago Blackhawks could turn a Patrick Kane trade into a blockbuster.

Patrick Kane is still one of the best players in the National Hockey League. He is a point-per-game player that helps his team have a chance to win every single night. If he went to the Avalanche, he would fit in so well.

A power play featuring Kane, Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Mikko Rantanen, and Cale Makar would be filthy. You could even split them up and have some play on the PP with Nazem Kadri who could get Hart Trophy Votes this year because that is how deep they are.

Because of this, they could turn a trade like this into a blockbuster. Maybe the Hawks could get more for their money if they included Brandon Hagel in the trade. That could lead to more picks and even more prospects.

You already know about Bowen Byram. Justus Annunen is a fantastic goalie prospect and the Hawks should be trying to stockpile those right now. It would be hard for Colorado to let go of Samuel Girard but that could be the price of adding someone like Kane, especially if they are also getting Hagel.

We don’t know if this is likely but it is confirmed that the Avalanche has inquired on this. The Fourth Period is as plugged in as anybody so him feeling the need to say this is notable. Hopefully, regardless of what happens, the Hawks become a better team for it.
