The new head coach would really benefit from adding an elite wide receiver.

Matt Eberflus is the new head football coach that formerly specialized in defense. It is refreshing to hear that the Bears didn’t just hire someone because they were an “offensive guru” or a “quarterback whisperer”. They hired the guy that they believe can best help their football team.

Eberflus will need help running the offense, however, especially at first. He seems to be set on his offensive coordinator running the offense and calling plays but he will be influential as well. Adding a receiver like Amari Cooper would really help with that cause.

With a quarterback like Fields, receivers like Cooper and Mooney, and a running back like David Montgomery, they would be able to get really creative. Nagy never did anything like that but we can expect big changes here. Cooper’s presence could go a long way.

Speaking of Montgomery, running the ball has been a sore spot in recent years. With a receiving core headlined by Amari Cooper, they would be able to open up the run game a lot. You could also expect them to actually do it right too this time around.

The coach would want to really get the offense going so that his defensive abilities could become more notable. Adding a superstar receiver like that would really allow that to happen. He would be a great addition to this team in every way.
