The Chicago Bears should keep a close eye on Jamaree Salyer at the NFL Combine

Senior

College: Georgia

Height: 6’2 5/8”

Weight: 320 lbs

Best trait: Power

Any time you have the opportunity to draft a National Champion, it’s not a bad idea to at least consider it. If a team ever gets the chance to draft a starter, from an SEC school that just won the title, it’s probably a good move.

The Bears could look at drafting Georgia’s starting guard Jamaree Salyer between rounds two and four, and with a strong Combine, he’ll inch closer to that round two status.

Salyer gives a lot to like as a potential starting guard in the NFL, and he doesn’t lack what the last two guys on this list did: power and a solid play weight.

Although he is a little shorter than the other guys on this list, Salyer offers a ton of length at the guard position. He’s got long arms and good-sized hands. When you combine his length and power, it’s tough not to like him.

The only major weakness is in that athletic department, where he’s not as agile as some of the other guys in his class. That would be something for him to work on once in Chicago, but Salyer definitely has a shot to become a starter.
