The Chicago Bears should keep a close eye on Dohnovan West at the NFL Combine

Junior

College: Arizona State

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 300 lbs

Best trait: Athleticism

While the aforementioned Smith could be found likely between the third and fifth rounds, Dohnovan West could be found a little later; think, maybe, between the fourth and seventh round. West will likely be a Day 3 pick, but offers a lot to like as a value selection.

One of the biggest question marks this week will be whether or not West’s power shows up. He’s got great height, but is a bit undersized in terms of his weight. He can get knocked off his base at times because of being a little too light. Putting on some weight over the next few months could help West’s case as a starter down the line.

His best trait, though, is his athleticism. West is extremely quick out of his stance and offers great control over his body, even in space. He comes into the league as a center, but offers flexibility as a potential guard as well — a lot like Whitehair has done for the Bears over the years.
