Teams have proven time and time again that trading future draft capital doesn’t matter, because it can always be pushed down the road and recouped. This is a prime example of just that. Using the Pro Football Focus mock draft simulator, this trade was able to go through and the best player on the board, for the Bears, was easily Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks.

Maybe the best overall receiver in the draft, depending upon who you ask, Burks is a legitimate threat. He’s a true number one wide receiver with big size, strength and even more speed than most guys his size.

Burks stands 6-foot-3 and weighs around 225 pounds, so he is an absolute tank. His hands wear a whopping 4XL glove, therefore his catch radius might be the biggest of anyone in his class. He’ll catch everything.

There isn’t much not to like about Burks. He really has it all as a true number one wide receiver. The Bears could line him up outside or in the slot, and he’d be a matchup nightmare regardless. Burks has been compared to A.J. Brown, but is said to have more speed and is a bit more athletic. That’s a scary comparison.

The Bears get Fields a legit threat at wide receiver, here, but they are far from done. Now, it’s time to focus on protection.
