The Chicago Bears could trade Tarik Cohen to the Buffalo Bills

One of the most commonly talked about players whom the Bears could part ways with is running back Tarik Cohen, and for many reasons. Obviously, the Bears have David Montgomery as their starter, whom they would love to get 15-20 touches per game. Behind Montgomery has emerged a fresh, dynamic backup running back in Khalil Herbert.

The fact that Herbert ascended last year makes Cohen expendable, offensively. But, the Bears may also re-sign Jakeem Grant, a Pro Bowl and All Pro selection last year, for their return specialist. The Bears truly don’t have much use for Cohen at this point, but a team like the Buffalo Bills would.

The Bills need one more playmaker on offense, and specifically in the back field. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss have been fine, but neither one has given the Bills a threat to take it to the house on any given play. If Cohen is healthy, he’ll give the Bills that change-of-pace type. He likely wouldn’t cost much, either, but the Bears would take any draft capital they can get.

The Bears would get Buffalo’s sixth-round pick in this year’s draft, which ends up being no. 183 overall.
