3 free agent cornerbacks connected to new Chicago Bears leadership

The Chicago Bears could pursue free agent Rasul Douglas
One of the most important hires this offseason was always going to be the Bears’ new offensive coordinator. Poles went with former Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy, who comes to the Bears with a fresh approach and will build around Justin Fields.
However, just because Getsy is an offensive guy doesn’t mean he has no other relationships built with defensive guys. If Getsy has a good enough relationship with a player like Rasul Douglas, he could help Poles lure him to the Bears in a couple of weeks.
Douglas was one of the Packers’ biggest surprises of last season, and really came on towards the middle and end of the year. After being a third-round pick back in 2017, Douglas had bounced around amongst five different teams in a short period before he broke out with Green Bay lasts year.
All he did was make plays, and Packer fans grew to love this guy in a hurry. But, the 29-year-old is now in a position where he can cash in for the first time in his career. Although it was just one year of production, Douglas will likely be looking for a mid-range type contract. Is it worth handing out that type of money to a guy with just one year of stout production?
Douglas ended last season with 13 passes defensed in 12 games, and also picked off five passes (two of which went for a touchdown).
