Christian Watson is one Chicago Bears receiver target to watch at the 2022 NFL Combine

Senior

College: North Dakota State

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 208 lbs

Career Numbers: 104 receptions, 2,134 yards, 14 receiving touchdowns, 49 rushes, 392 yards, two rushing touchdowns

If the Bears wanted to go after that true big-bodied outside receiver, Christian Watson is definitely one of the most intriguing options in this year’s class. His 6-foot-5 frame is monstrous, and he possesses an enormous catch radius.

Watson has a real good combination of size, speed and quickness. He’s a team-first guy who plays every down as though it’s his last. At his level of college ball, Watson completely obliterated opposing defenses — as best evidenced by his incredible career average of 20.5 yards per reception.

The only question around Watson, now, is whether or not he can do this against NFL defenses. If he added a little bit of muscle, that would do him justice.

Depending on how far back the Bears can find Watson, he may end up being one of the draft’s biggest steals. Many mocks have him going between the third and fifth rounds, so this Combine is big for him. If he shows out, he’ll be closer to that third round status than the latter.
