Jalen Tolbert is one Chicago Bears receiver target to watch at the 2022 NFL Combine

Junior

College: South Alabama

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 190 lbs

Career Numbers: 178 receptions, 3,140 yards (17.6 YPC), 22 touchdowns

If you want to talk big plays, look no further than Jalen Tolbert. The South Alabama product might be a top-3 player in this category throughout the entire draft class. All this guy does is make big plays, as evidenced by his career 17.6 yards per catch.

Like Pickens, Tolbert has a tall, lanky frame. Except, he is much more explosive than Pickens — and the Bears may be able to find him a few picks later than Pickens, should the opportunity present itself.

Tolbert has the ability to play both outside and in the slot when needed. He’s got a strong sense on how to use his body to make the catch easier on himself. Whether it’s a deep ball, or over the middle, Tolbert makes the catch and immediately wants more.

Out of the many receivers in this class, Tolbert might give the Bears some of the most flexibility in personnel decisions. The fact that he can line up at either receiver position is a plus, and the only real big improvement he needs to make is to polish off his route running just a bit.
