Wan’Dale Robinson is one Chicago Bears receiver target to watch at the 2022 NFL Combine

Junior

College: Kentucky

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 185 lbs

Career Numbers: 195 receptions, 2,248 yards,  10 receiving touchdowns, 141 rushes, 691 yards, four rushing touchdowns

If the Bears either do not like Pickens, or want something of a different style wide receiver, there are still many options in the second and third round. Kentucky’s Wan’Dale Robinson is a prospect who falls in that range and would give the Bears the type of receiver they need in the slot.

Robinson fits into a role that screams “gadget” player. He’d also function like a Deebo Samuel in Chicago; someone who can provide both rushing and receiving. What Samuel did in 2021 might end up changing the game for better, and give guys like Robinson a real future as a multi-faceted playmaker.

The Kentucky standout is sneaky in traffic and is great at slipping through tackles, gaining yards after the catch. He’s tough and physical, and not as easy to bring down as he might look at first glance.

One area that stands out big time when watching Robinson is his ability to convert wisely on option routes. Cooper Kupp made a living on these routes last year, especially in the red zone. Again, we’re seeing many new things from receivers these days and Robinson could follow suit.
