Brian Allen

Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen may be an ideal target for the Chicago Bears as they look to improve their offensive line.

Outside of the wide receiver position, the most important position that the Chicago Bears will address this offseason is the offensive line.

The Bears began to address the offensive line position last offseason as offensive tackles Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom were among their 2021 draft selections. Jenkins missed most of the 2021 season with a back injury but Borom did show signs of being a quality starting offensive tackle in the NFL. Despite the emergence of Borom, the Bears offensive line still struggled as a whole as the unit allowed the most sacks, 58, in the NFL last season.

Perhaps the weakest spot along the offensive line for the Bears last season was at the center position. After impressing at the center position during the 2020 season, Sam Mustipher regressed during the 2021 season as he struggled with snaps. During the 2021 season, Mustipher had 5 snaps that resulted in fumbles.

It stands to the reason that the Bears will look to improve at the center position this offseason. One player that the Bears may take a look at is Los Angeles Rams’ center Brian Allen. Allen is a Chicago-native and did not have a single penalty called against him during the 2021 season. After interviewing with 670 The Score’s Laurence Holmes earlier this week, Holmes confirmed that Allen is interested in playing for the Bears.
