When healthy, free agent wide receiver possesses the skillset to be the perfect pairing for Bears

With Matt Nagy no longer in place as the Chicago Bears head coach, expect the team to open up the offensive playbook under new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and utilize the elite deep-throw ability that quarterback Justin Fields has. Outside of wide receiver Darnell Mooney, the Bears lacked a consistent deep threat at the wide receiver position last season.

Expect the Bears to target wide receivers this offseason that have the ability to make plays downfield. Perhaps, the best deep threat wide receiver in the league is Will Fuller. Fuller is a free agent this offseason and his proven during the first three seasons of his career that he is one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL downfield given his speed and playmaking ability.

The issue for Fuller is that he has struggled to stay on the field. Fuller has been in the league for four seasons and has yet to play a full season. The latest injury for Fuller occurred this past season with the Miami Dolphins as he suffered a finger injury that limited him to only two games.

Given the injury track record for Fuller, it seems likely that he will seek a short-term deal in an attempt to re-establish his value as an elite wide receiver in the NFL. The Bears should certainly be interested in the veteran as despite the injuries, Fuller is only 27 years old and could be a perfect threat to pair with Fields.
