3 Chicago Bears free agents to consider bringing back

The offensive line is very important to the Chicago Bears over the next few years.

Germain Ifedi has had a very interesting career so far. He spent the first four as part of a very good Seattle Seahawks team as an offensive lineman. Now, he is coming off his second year with the Chicago Bears and is headed into NFL free agency.

The Chicago Bears would be really smart to bring him back if he wanted. They are somewhat thin on the offensive line so having Ifedi there could come in handy. He hasn’t been perfect by any means but you never know what the replacement level is yet. Bringing him back might just be the play.

With a few players developing on the line around him, Ifedi might be able to help out a lot. He has also been with them for a couple of years now so anyone can go to him if they need anything. We can only hope that he would play his position well enough to warrant keeping him.

Justin Fields dealt with some injuries in 2021. That needs to change right now. He can’t be taking big hit after big hit. That means that he needs to get rid of the ball faster but it also means that this unit needs to protect him. Ifedi could be a part of it.

The Chicago Bears might spend a lot of their money on these three and they also might let them all go for nothing. That is for Ryan Poles to figure out as he tries to build this team. It is going to be fun to see which decisions are actually made.
